कल महाशिवरात्रि के अवसर पर प्रभु मंदिर में शाम ६ बजे से अगले दिन प्रातः ६ बजे तक चतुर्याम की रुद्राभिषेकयुक्त महापूजा संपन्न हुई। तृतीय याम की महापूजा के लिए श्रीजी, प्रभु मंदिर में पधारे। यह महापूजा रात्रि १२ को आरंभ होकर ३:०० बजे पूर्ण हुई। पूजा के आरंभ में श्रीजी सहित सभी उपस्थित भक्तजनों ने श्रीशिवलीलामृत का सामूहिक पारायण किया। महापूजा के समय भक्तजनों ने मिलकर प्रभु मंदिर के कैलास मंटप में सोमवार तथा गुरुवार का सांप्रदायिक भजन संपन्न किया। महाशिवरात्रि के पर्व पर श्रीसमाधि को रुद्राक्षाभरणों से तथा त्रिशूल-डमरू से अलंकृत किया गया था। इस अलंकार में माथे पर चंद्रमा को धारण किए हुए श्रीप्रभु के अत्यंत सुंदर स्वरूप के दर्शन से सभी भक्तगण मुग्ध हुए। श्रीजी ने इस अवसर प्रभु मंदिर परिसर में स्थिति श्रीसर्वेश्र्वर महादेव की महापूजा और आरती संपन्न की।

Shri Anandraj Manik Prabhu, President, Manik Sports Academy (MSA) and Charudatt Prabhu, Secretary MSA met Mohammad Azharuddin, former captain, Indian cricket team and Mohammad Kaif, former India player at KBN Cricket Ground, Gulbarga today. Both the cricketers were happy to learn about sports and educational activities of Maniknagar and said that they would be happy to visit Siddharaj Cricket Ground at Maniknagar very soon. Presently MSA is providing professional coaching to the sportsmen of this region in sports like Athletics, Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Swimming and Basket Ball. Today more than 200 talented young students are seeking training under the able guidance of expert coaches in various disciplines. The world class sports infrastructure here at Maniknagar is attracting a lot of sports loving enthusiastic people from around this region thus giving this place a unique identity as a flourishing sports hub of North Karnataka. The President of MSA Shri Anandraj Manik Prabhu said that MSA is planning to organize a sports festival at Maniknagar very soon, wherein various sporting events will be conducted to raise awareness regarding sports culture. माघ कृष्ण प्रतिपदा का दत्त संप्रदाय में अनन्यसाधारण महत्व है। आज के परम पवित्र पर्व पर ही भगवान् श्री दत्तात्रेय के द्वितीय अवतार श्री नृसिंह सरस्वती स्वामी महाराज का श्रीशैल के अरण्य में निजानंद गमन हुआ था। माणिकनगर में प्रतिवर्ष गुरु प्रतिपदा के अवसर पर पूजा आदि कार्यक्रम विधिवत् संपन्न किए जाते हैं। आज श्रीगुरु प्रतिपदा के अवसर पर भगवान् श्री दत्तात्रेय के मंदिर में महापूजा संपन्न की गई। इस महापूजा के अंतर्गत प्रभु मंदिर परिसर में स्थित प्राचीन औदुंबर वृक्ष की भी आरती तथा पूजा संपन्न हुई। महापूजा के समय भक्तजनों ने सांप्रदायिक भजन का आयोजन किया। पूजा के उपरांत भक्तजनों ने भंडारखाने में महाप्रसाद का लाभ लिया।
